This week we bring you Folk band Between the Acts. They are a Ceilidh Band who have been playing dance music together for thirty years and more. In the gaps between the dances from time to time they also play some songs. Often folk songs but they also include modern songs by songwriters such as Richard Thompson and Bob Dylan.
Between the Acts play fiddle, guitars, piano and percussion and have made a CD of music associated with the Camino de Santiago, which includes tunes from Brittany, France, and northern Spain. More recently, they prepared and recorded the whole of Bob Dylan’s album John Wesley Harding to mark the fiftieth anniversary of its release.
Do come along – maybe meeting friends or making new ones enjoying some lovely music. Admission is just £2.50 (plus booking fee) Our Whistle Stop Café will be open if you fancy a nice cup of tea (or coffee) and perhaps a piece of cake.
There will be a selection of tables and chairs set out in the hall for you to choose from on arrival.
