Bath Textile Artists – Reflections

The group of 12 members presents work across the broad spectrum of textile techniques, from painting on silk, weaving, printing to machine and hand stitch. This exhibition includes new work as well as those which have been in previous themed shows across the Bath and North Wiltshire area.
The exhibition runs from Wednesday 2nd November through to and including Sunday 11th December 2022. Opening times are 10-4pm Wednesdays through Sundays. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays and occasionally for other events in the main hall – we recommend you call first if travelling a distance to avoid disappointment.
Bath Textile Artists
Bath Textile Artists are a select group of professionals who combine years of experience in the fields of embroidery, felting, quilting, costume, weaving, dyeing, stitching and silk painting.
Their aim is to expand the boundaries of textile techniques into the realms of fabric art. The strength of the group is its variety of styles and sparkling creativity.
Inspiration for members comes from the response to nature and landscape, a zest for travel, myth and architecture; and works are often wrought with a wisp of humour. Jewel like embroideries and costume adornment, pictures and wearables, banners and hangings all make a group exhibition a colourful and textural treat.
Members of the group are happy sharing their expertise through leading workshops and lectures and several teach at schools and colleges in the South West.
