Tickets: from £8.00 (plus booking fee)

We invite you to join Dick Whittington and his faithful feline friend Tommy, on their quest to seek fame and fortune in the city of London, where the streets are paved with gold and the evil Ratty dwells.

However, Dick dreams of being the Lord Mayor of London and he is going to need all the help he can get from the beautiful Alice, the gang and of course lots of children to defeat that evil old Rat!!

He must work hard and with the help of a cat, perhaps he might succeed… Dick Whittington is one of the best known English folktales and an extremely popular pantomime today. This tale is based on the true story of Richard Whittington, who was born in the 1350s.

The story, as we know it today, comes from the early seventeenth century, in a ballad of 1612 by Richard Johnson, who mentions the cat that made Whittington his fortune and the detail about Whittington fleeing London, only to be called back by the sound of Bow bells telling him to ‘Turn again, Whittington, Lord Mayor of London!’ …………….
