Sorry We Missed You
From director Ken Loach and the award-winning team behind I, Daniel Blake, comes Sorry We Missed You – a powerful exploration of the contemporary world of work, the gig economy and the challenges faced by one family trying to hold it all together.
Ricky and his family have been fighting an uphill struggle against debt since the 2008 financial crash. An opportunity to wrestle back some independence appears with a shiny new van and the chance to run a franchise as a self employed delivery driver. It’s hard work, and his wife’s job as a carer is no easier. The family unit is strong but when both are pulled in different directions everything comes to breaking point.
We recently had a hearing loop installed at The Shed for the benefit of all who might appreciate a little help hearing the audio systems. If you would like to reserve one – you can do so either when booking your tickets on line or by calling the office on 01666 505496.
Films at the Goods Shed are projected on to a six-metre (19 feet 8 inches) wide screen, with sound provided by a multipoint Dolby system. The 180 seats are purpose-made for auditorium use and are tiered, giving everyone a comfortable and unobstructed view of the screen.
We provide a bar at most screenings, offering alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Doors open 30 minutes before each screening.
You can buy tickets in advance using the form below, or on the door up to 30 minutes before screening, subject to availability. There is no fee for booking online.
At this stage, it isn’t possible to reserve specific seats. If you have a favourite spot, it’s best to arrive early, get a drink, and settle in to enjoy the movie!
