Certificate 12A.  Running time: 1h 56min.  Doors open at 7pm

A cover-up that spanned four U.S. Presidents

America’s first female newspaper publisher and a hard-driving editor join an unprecedented battle between the press and the government. Directed by Steven Spielberg. Starring Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks and Sarah Paulson

Washington Post owner, Kay Graham (Streep), is still adjusting to taking over her late husband’s business when editor Ben Bradlee (Hanks) discovers the New York Times has scooped them with an explosive expose on the Pentagon Papers exposing the depths of the US government’s deceptions about the futility of the Vietnam War.

Determined to compete, Post reporters find a complete copy of those papers. When the government pressuresThe Post, Graham must decide whether to back down for the safety of her paper or publish and fight for the Freedom of the Press.

A 12A certificate means… “Films classified 12A contain material that is not generally suitable for children aged under 12. No one younger than 12 may see a 12A film in a cinema unless accompanied by an adult. Adults planning to take a child under 12 to view a 12A film should consider whether the film is suitable for that child. To help them decide, we recommend that they check the BBFCinsight for that film in advance” – British Board of Film Classification

Films at the Goods Shed are projected on to a six-metre (19 feet 8 inches) wide screen, with sound provided by a multipoint Dolby system. The 180 seats are purpose-made for auditorium use and are tiered, giving everyone a comfortable and unobstructed view of the screen.

We provide a bar at most screenings, offering alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Doors open 30 minutes before each screening.

You can buy tickets in advance using the form below, or on the door up to 30 minutes before screening, subject to availability. There is no fee for booking online.

At this stage, it isn’t possible to reserve specific seats. If you have a favourite spot, it’s best to arrive early, get a drink, and settle in to enjoy the movie!
