Learn from Chelsea RHS Medalist Joy Riley in this half day workshop
BRING YOUR IDEAS and photos with you to create the garden of your dreams…. no horticultural knowledge needed.
No measuring if you don’t want to. A soil sample is advisable though. You will end the half-day serssion day with a good idea of what to put where in your garden over the next year.
You’ll spend a couple of hours understanding your plants in your garden. We do this from your photos of the garden. We can evaluate how to put some other seasonal interest into it and make it manageable for you…
Help is at hand every step of the way from an RHS winner at The Chelsea Flower Show.
- We start by assessing your existing features which you have photographed from your garden.
- We then move into looking at how we can improve your borders based on your ability, border aspect, preferences and soil type.
Help is at hand all the way. You will end up with a sketch/diagram of your borders for you to work from.
Joy Riley has been a Garden Designer for 20 years. She trained at Pershore Horticultural College under the supervision of Chris Beardshaw & Simon Rose.
Joy started life as an interior designer, so combining these two interests has allowed her to create gardens that really do become the outside room, with furniture that grows….
Joy has also taught CAD to Garden Designers at Pershore College and has been CAD consultant to The Wildlife & Wetlands Trust Consulting at Slimbridge in her time. As an experienced and accomplished garden designer with RHS Medals to her name, Joy’s own garden has featured on the local news and in national newspapers.
“I consider garden designing to be the art of creating a cosy place with a tapestry of everchanging colours. My half day workshops are for people to bring along their photos and soil samples for me to see how we can simply improve your borders.
“If you have a blank canvas then my full day workshop may be a good idea for you because you will be able go home with a plan and a clear view of what you want to do in your garden according to your budget.”
