The countdown is on to our third Off the Rails festival of music, entertainment and family fun!

Whatever else you’ve got planned for Sunday 3 September, give yourself a generous dollop of time to come on down to our third “Off the Rails” family festival starting at 11am.

There’ll be live music on the outdoor platform from the likes of Coracle (11.45am), this magical folk trio will transport you to another time and place.    Jack Calloway and the Midnight Creepers (1.15pm) a brilliant swing jazz 7 piece from Bristol – bring your dancing shoes!, Samba Parade (2.30pm) The Kim Cypher Band (2.45pm) perennial favourite, soulful jazz singer and saxophonist extraordinaire.   Da Fuchaman (4.15pm) proper old school 10-piece Jamaican reggae band. High energy and loads of fun!  Plus guest DJ Andy Wyse will keep the whole day grooving.

Around and about the outside of the Shed there’ll be all kinds of impromptu entertainment for grownups and children alike, including a Samba workshop and parade with Ola Samba; childrens entertainer Magical Timmy and fire eaters as well as pottery demonstrations offering ‘have a go’ sessions and naturally a Beer Tent. There’ll be craft stalls inside the Shed itself, and of course the Whistle Stop café will be doing take-away meals, hot and cold drinks and scrumptious pastries all day, together with other food stalls including Burgerlish, Thai Fridays and Field to Fire Pizzas and icecream.

An All Day Pass for Off the Rails costs just £5.00 per adult  and its FREE for Under 18 years.   So come on down to enjoy the fun!

Be thrilled by the silvern voice of Anna Tam, the free flowing mix of reeds…..clarinets and accordion….cello, nyckelharpa, viola da gamba and hurdy gurdy.

The British folk tradition at its very heart with eddies of contemporary classical and splashes of early music, ebbs and flows, squalls and flurries – each gig is an exhilarating journey of exploration and enjoyment.

The Kim Cypher Band

Kim Cypher is creating quite a stir on the jazz scene at present. As one of the UK’s most exciting saxophonists, vocalists and composers, Kim has firmly secured a reputation for top quality, stylish, accessible jazz together with a vivacious stage presence and a performance full of warmth, energy, style, charisma and love.

Kim C two e1692104111338Inspired by the funkier side of jazz and having studied alongside US saxophonist Pee Wee Ellis and internationally acclaimed jazz saxophonist Andy Sheppard, Kim’s style of performance is best described as ‘funky saxophonist meets 1940’s jazz singer’. Her all-round skills as a saxophonist, vocalist, composer, lyricist, band leader, front-person and radio host with a natural ability to connect with all audiences, set Kim apart as a unique ‘full package’ for the very best in jazz performance.

Kim has performed in New York and sold out the main stage at world-renowned Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club as well as being a regular performer at top venues on the London and UK jazz circuit. With Top-10 rated albums and award-winning music videos, Kim always delivers the highest quality performance with incredible style, warmth and passion.

Jack Calloway is Bristol’s finest entertainer and performer of vintage jazz from the 1920s and 30s. Combining his unique style of band leading with a little blue humour, he’ll take you back in time to a secret Speakeasy club of the past.

Supporting him at  this years Off The Rails Festival will be his renowned cabaret, comedy, burlesque band the of Midnight Creepers.

Da Fuchaman

Zemroy Thomas better known by his stage name Da Fuchaman is a Jamaican reggae singer, songwriter and member of the Rastafari movement. In 2016 he formed his live band now known as Da Fuchaman and his Fire Blaze Band which has taken him to new heights. Da Fuchaman and his ten piece collective have been taking the UK festival scene by storm even performing at more than 20 festivals during the summer of 2022 including Boomtown Fair, Secret Garden Party, Camper Calling, Kendal Calling, Greenman, Moovin Festival, Cider Rum and Reggae, and many others.Da Fuchaman Good Reggae Music Single 2016 e1692109150631

Da Fuchaman is known for his high energy stage performances throughout the UK and Europe and prides himself on spreading love and positive vibrations to the massive everywhere he goes. In summary, if you too are a sucker for love and positivity whether you are a reggae fan or not then you don’t need look much further than Da Fuchaman and his Fire Blaze Band as this is guaranteed.

If you are unfamiliar with Tetbury follow the signs from the town centre to the free long stay car park or put GL8 8EY into your satnav, which will bring you to the Royal Oak pub. The event and the car park are through the open gateway next to the pub
