Stars and Sails  – presented by Tidal Tales

Explore the importance, power and vulnerability of the sea through songs, sights and stories! Listen to worldwide folk tales, music and history. Join the global quest to protect our beautiful oceans.

Stars and Sails features local sea shanties, ancient world music, and historical sea farers from all over the world. The layers of a loop station blend with live singing, beatbox, puppetry and storytelling. Design is centred around junk modelling, creating costume, props and set from marine detritus.

Suitable for all ages, recommended for 5 years +

Suitable for those aged five years and above including parents and grand parents in touch with the big kid inside us all

Tidal Tales Collective are a family theatre company exploring local folklore & music, and the connected stories and songs found all around the globe.

Using a variety of design, music & theatre to make striking folk-theatre that finds cultural connections through world stories, songs and history exploring the commonality of all people, our interwoven history & our reliance on the health of our planet.

Hearing Loop

The Shed has a hearing loop for all who appreciate a little help hearing the audio systems.

We simply that ask you to bring your own headphones, to use with one of our receivers. You can reserve one by calling the office on 01666 505496.
