Back by Popular Demand the Magnificent AK 47 – this time with friends – The Port Isaac Gulls
Original, eclectic material, songs of life and love, often with hilarious laughter and just a touch of amateur dramatics guaranteed to put a smile on your face, the hairs on the back of your neck stand up and leave you with tears of joy and empathy towards the rigours of being a new age man in the 21st Century.
So, it’s not surprising that The Magnificent AK 47 have been awarded the best Entertainment award in the 2016 Derry Choral Festival and now, in their 10th year of singing excellence, another award at the Cork International Choral Festival, the renowned 2018 PEACE Trophy for the choir embracing the very best spirit of the singing festival.
Never to be taken too seriously, the men of The Magnificent AK47 firmly believe that singing should be fun to both see and enjoy.
Together with Port Isaac’s Gulls – ten women living in Port Isaac who love to sing ( apparently they also like to talk, drink wine and eat cake together ) – bringing you a wonderful evening of original songs and entertainment for all the family. We promise you will leave with a spring in your step and a song in your heart!
Gulls are ten women who love to sing. We live in Port Isaac – well actually, one of us lives just up the road! Gulls have sang together since 2014. Our youngest member, Cherry, has the unenviable task of keeping us all in time and tune! Pauline holds the bass line and going up the line we are Marion, Sharon, Barbara, Julia and Cheryl with Dee, Shirley and Liz hitting the high notes.
