Sandra Chin – Ephemeral Landscape

Free admission

The exhibition runs from Wednesday 29th June   through to and including Sunday 7th August  2022.   Opening times are 10-4pm Wednesdays through Sundays. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays and occasionally for other events in the main hall – we recommend you call first if travelling a distance to avoid disappointment.

The exhibition examines the effect time and the elements have on the landscape and also the dynamics and tensions between humanity and nature. The fleetingness and the ephemeral qualities of captured moments, the weather, the mysteries that the vegetation holds and nature as an entropic force; all this resonates with the approaches to mark making used in the work.

MEET THE ARTIST – Sandra Chin will be at the Goods Shed on Saturday 9th July 2022 at 11am

Sandra Chin

Sandra Chin is a contemporary artist based near Malmesbury where she works from her green roofed studio built during lockdown using reclaimed wood.  She explores the landscape and the vegetation that lies within its perimeter through drawing and painting. Being outdoors, physically and mentally immersing herself in nature are an important part of Sandra’s practice.
