Tetbury once again to become a Window Wanderland for four nights this February
Following on from our successful debut in 2022 we are again going to light up the streets of our Town, and this year we are hoping to make it bigger, better and more spectacular!
With your help we will transform our town into a spectacular outdoor gallery for all to enjoy from 6 – 9pm on 9th -12th February. The perfect event to brighten up the deepest, darkest winter evenings, produced by the Goods Shed Arts Centre with the help of many local community groups and organisations and hopefully YOU.
Taking part as a Windowmaker is free, for the benefit of the community and everyone is welcome. When you register your windows at https://www.windowwanderland.com/area/tetbury/ , we will send you a how-to pack – it’s very easy – and put your dot on a trail map to guide people around the town to enjoy every bit of the spectacle. We will have some materials and supportive workshops at the Shed.
You can make a display as simple or as complicated as you like in the windows of your flat, house, business, car, campervan – or anywhere it can be seen from the street! Our optional theme this time around is Reasons to be Cheerful. Have a look at the outside of your windows after dark. What are they itching to show? Perhaps something from your favourite musical, film or book or perhaps your favourite pets, shoes or birthday cakes? Hang your display in your window and light it from behind, throw open your curtains and let it glow.
Window Wanderlands have become a popular event around the UK. They are not competitive ….. but locally the event is growing each year. Keep an eye on our website and newsletters, sign up as soon as you decide to do it. Follow windowwanderlandtetbury on Instagram to enjoy some inspiration for designs and connect with your fellow window makers. Yet more inspiration can be found at www.windowwanderland.com/gallery and popping up in a few windows about town as we prepare our displays.
The event has been made possible thanks to support from Tetbury Goods Shed, The Feoffees, Tetbury Lions and other generous organisations in the town.
