The Goods Shed has a truly special night lined up on Saturday 7 October. Circus Sauce, the UK’s only travelling restaurant is sending its team over from Gifford’s Circus to prepare a memorable two-course menu for guests to enjoy alongside a lively set from upbeat Cheltenham folk rockers, The Hawthornes. The Shed will be laid out with long trestle tables, making this definitely an event to enjoy with friends or family!
Many of you will already know Circus Sauce, the unique restaurant that follows Gifford’s Circus to each ground. The team favour hearty, no-fuss nostalgic classics like lamb hotpots, crisp pork, hearty stargazey fish pies, mounds of Eton mess, treacle puddings and many other delicacies, served up on platters and dishes for you to stick your spoon into.
The Hawthornes are a lively folk/rock band from Cheltenham, England. Taking cue’s from folk revivalists such as Laura Marling, Eliza Carthy, Frank Turner and Seth Lakeman, The Hawthornes combine beautiful, female-vocal-driven acoustic music with mariachi style upbeat pop/rock hooks.
Whilst chalking up appearances all over the UK with acts such as Phil Beer, Three Daft Monkeys, Terry & Gerry, Babajack and The Gerry Colvin Band and at festivals such as Lakefest, Y Not and The New Forest Folk Festival, The Hawthornes have gained a reputation for delivering a powerful live show, combining gentle beautiful soft melodies with upbeat powerful anthems that stay with their audience for weeks. Their second album “Cut & Run” was released in early 2017 and has already been met with much critical acclaim.
