Macbeth, driven to murder by ambition, must now navigate his path to greatness, amidst his unsettled friends and vengeful foes, and the supernatural influences that guide his every step.<\/span>\u200b<\/span><\/p>\n

Wise + Wayward Theatre\u2019s interpretation of Shakespeare’s tale of ambition and betrayal uses the original text, mixed with elements of text from the North Berwick witch trials (as described in James I\u2019s <\/span>Daemonologie<\/span><\/i>).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This production is supported by Stroud Shakespeare Festival and is the first resident company at the Tetbury Goods Shed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Brought to life with live music, and a cast of 8 actors, this is the perfect production for a cold winter\u2019s night.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wise and Wayward<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Tetbury Goods Shed is thrilled to be supporting Wise + Wayward Theatre as its first theatre residency, providing rehearsal space and performance dates in this production of Macbeth. <\/span><\/p>\n

Funds raised from the production will go back to Stroud Shakespeare Festival, to ensure that the festival can continue after a difficult season following the pandemic. Stroud Shakespeare Festival works with many national companies to provide high quality performances of Shakespeare in the centre of Stroud. <\/span><\/h4>\n

The last festival was in 2019, and has not been able to go ahead in 2020 and 2021. They are now raising funds for a 2023 festival. <\/span><\/h4>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
