Come and join us for a jolly night of Sea Shanties led by Kate Raw. \u00a0Lyrics are provided and the tunes are easy to \u00a0pick up (there is no need to read music). \u00a0So grab a drink, and be prepared to join in with a mix of traditional and contemporary shanties.<\/p>\n
Also on offer: \u00a0Freshly made sourdough pizzas from Pom A’dore Westonbirt will \u00a0be available to order on the night.<\/p>\n
Weather permitting this event will take place outside – please bring your own rugs and cushions to sit on<\/p>\n

Historically sailing crews would use shanties to help them while working.<\/p>\n
Singing together to the same rhythm would help crews stay synchronised for tasks like hoisting sails and pulling in fishing lines, when everyone needed to be pushing or pulling together at the same time .<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
