The Eclectic String Band is a group of friendly and enthusiastic amateur musicians who play everything from baroque to Bartok. We rehearse every Wednesday in Watermoor Hall, Cirencester. Always keen to welcome new-comers, we are open to string players of all abilities while striving for high standards under the baton of professional musician Nicky Akeroyd. The Corinium Quartet are a group of friends who met through the Eclectic String Band. We play mainstream repertoire such as Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Haydn, and Mendelssohn. Please come and join us – maybe meeting old friends or making new ones as well as enjoying some lovely music. Admission is just £3.00 (plus booking fee) Our Whistle Stop Café will be open if you fancy a nice cup of tea (or coffee) and perhaps one of Sasha’s tasty treats.
There will be a selection of tables and chairs set out in the hall for you to choose from on arrival.
