Have you ever wondered why your photographs don’t look as you hoped they would?

The auto settings on digital cameras make taking photographs simple, but it is not always easy to get the results you want.  Your camera gives you lots of options, but which will give you the results were looking for?

This day will help you get better results from your camera.  We will look at:

  • How to overcome common problems
  • How the settings affect your photographs
  • How to compose photographs
  • How to save your photographs

You’ll take photographs around the Goods Shed with Steve’s help, then review your favourites.

Once you have had a chance to try out your skills there will be a follow up session in the Café a few weeks later to answer any questions you may have.

About the Day

Open to anyone aged 18 or older

Runs from 10.00am until 4.30pm

Includes refreshments and printed notes

You will need

  • A digital camera and memory card
  • A charged battery
  • The camera manual
  • Lunch (or you can eat in the Café or nearby)

The camera can be simple or complicated, but you do need to have the ability to control the shutter speed, aperture and sensitivity.  Film cameras are ok but you will not be able to review the images on the day
