Come and be a part of this exciting evening of live music of the highest order. This tribute to the swinging jazz sensations Django Reinhardt and Frank Sinatra featuring hot gypsy guitars from Stuart Carter-Smith and Paul Gregory and incredible vocals from Jazz singing sensation Denny Ilett to make this evening a night to remember.

Stuart Carter-Smith – Guitar

Stuart Carter-Smith has a well-earned reputation as a top class Gypsy Jazz guitarist.

He started playing the guitar when he was 18 years old – rather late for a gypsy guitarist (most of his peers would have been playing fluently by the age of seven!) Initially Stuart studied and performed the classical guitar, but soon fell in love with the music of Django Reinhardt and his post-classical studies took him to work with some of the finest names in that genre both in the UK and overseas.

Like many of his contemporaries, Stuart is a consummate improviser and master of pin-point rhythm accuracy. Typical of the genre, Stuart is always searching for new musical challenges and he is constantly developing new techniques. He experiments with new rhythms and styles of playing, but these are always delivered with the solid underpinning of his first love: the musical style of Django. Stuart is also a permanent and integral member of Gypsy Fire.

Denny Ilett

Denny Ilett  is a hugely regarded jazz and blues guitarist who also happens to have a rich and sonorous voice that he uses to incredible effect, whether crooning Sinatra style or emulating the great Jimmy Hendrix.

Tonight he brings you memorable tunes from the late great Frank Sinatra.  Sit back and enjoy.

Paul Gregory

Has been a headline performer on the circuit for over twenty years.  Rated amongst the very best in the UK, he has appeared with an amazing range of artists, in a multitude of styles, and is constant demand both here and abroad.  You can expect some serious fretboard fireworks from this guitar master!
