The Gould Piano Trio, directly compared to the great Beaux Arts Trio for their “musical fire” and “dedication to the genre” in the Washington Post, have remained at the forefront of the international chamber music scene for a quarter of a century.

As well as appearing regularly at London’s Wigmore Hall, the trio – Lucy Gould, violin; Richard Lester, cello; and Benjamin Frith, piano – have made extensive tours of North America, the Far East and New Zealand, and have performed throughout Europe.

They round off the Goods Shed Piano Series with a performance of the astonishing and passionately romantic Piano Trio by the 13-year-old Erich Korngold, who went on to achieve fame as a Hollywood composer.

“Though three musical personalities come through, the melding of the minds (and fingers) is on a plane one rarely hears today… This was the most satisfying concert I’ve heard all season.”
Robert Battey, Washington Post.
