Comedy at The Goods Shed
7 September 2017 | 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm| £10
Our very first comedy night at The Goods Shed, featuring Tetbury old school – Matt Roseblade on MC, Avening’s-finest Gavin Pond, Stasia Buckle, Richard Jay and Nick Page. Together they promise to provide a Shed load of laughs.
Sir William Romney alumni, Matt, will kick off the evening in style. Having worked as a comedian since 2015, he’s already performed around 100 gigs. In his own words, “I’ve won competitions, been hugged by strangers and received one of the worst first reviews ever seen for my recent show at the Brighton Fringe”. Sounds great!
Gavin Pond – he says (apparently) – “…is a world renowned manufacturer of mandolins, hurdy-gurdies and longbows”. Regularly running longbow technique workshops from his Avening home, training people up for the forthcoming post-Brexit Hunger Games.
Stasia Buckle is a little more professional, having been recently listed by We Are Cult as one of the “Stand Up comics to watch out for in 2017”.
When we reach Richard however, things take a turn for the worse somewhat. Richard claims to be, “a fat 63-year old with a gag-filled set based (loosely) around his life experiences with a bit of darkness thrown in”. Take from that what you will! However he has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe.
And last, but not least, Nick Page…English Comedian of the year 2016 runner-up, battle-zone hardened troop entertainer and ex-daytime TV host, Nick Page spent two years living in Tetbury when he was a salesman at Northfield Garage. What more could you want?!
