Big Book Seminar:

Professor Robert Eaglestone – The Literature of Complicity – Fascism in Contemporary Fiction

Over the course of the weekend, three top academics will be introducing some of their current work to a general audience, or those thinking of studying at university

Why is it that books like ‘After the Party’ and ‘All Among the Barley’, set in the years running up to WW2, speak to such a wide audience today? Robert Eaglestone, Professor of English at Royal Holloway University, and an expert in holocaust literature, looks at the different ways this particular aspect of our past is so important today – and why.

The Big Book Weekend is brought to the Goods Shed by the Yellow Lighted Book Shop and runs from Friday 3rd May through to Monday 6th May.  The full programme is available here:  https://www.yellow-lightedbookshop.co.uk/index.html
