John Andrews – Global Warming
Climate Change
July’s Shed Talk invites John Andrews to explain the causes, the technological solutions available to mitigate the effects and the changes to lifestyle this will bring about.
John’s academic background is in physics and mathematics. He spent 30 years as a research scientist in the electricity supply industry, after which he lectured at Bristol and Oxford Universities. This included a course in Energy Studies, which resulted in a student textbook ‘Energy Science: Principles, Technologies and Impacts’ (OUP) with Nick Jelley (Oxford), and is now being updated for its 4th edition.
Tickets are £8 for adults and £5 for students, bookable in advance or pay on the door.
