Shanties at The Shed

Focussing on traditional Scottish music, Ryan Young brings new life to very old, often forgotten tunes by playing them in his own unique way. His fiddle playing is brimming with fresh melodic ideas, an uplifting rhythmic drive and a great depth of dynamics and precision. His sound is very distinctive and takes the listener on an emotional and adventurous journey in any performance.

American Landscape by Candlelight with Bristol Ensemble and Viv McLean

In a programme specially arranged for Piano and strings quintet Viv McLean joins the Bristol Ensemble to perform a programme including Gershwin’s Piano Concerto in F, Philip Glass’s breakthrough music for the iconic film Mishima, Copland’s evocative work Hoe Down and Bernstein's West Side Story Suite .

You are invited to join Echo Canyon for a wonderful afternoon of music. Their music has elements of the 60s and 70s, but with a contemporary feel, being likened to Dawes and Fleetwood Mac, with a touch of 10cc.

James Morton’s- Groove Den

James Morton is one of the most exciting saxophone players of his generation and 2022 saw him launching his new hard hitting creation Groove Den featuring new material drawing on influences from soul, jazz, hip-hop and tough, grooving beats, hence the name Groove Den.
